WHAT IS UNIQUE AT OMNI?
Our approach to health and wellness is unique in that, we treat not just your presenting symptoms but address all factors associated with your condition. This is done through a unique model of evaluation and treatment called REGIONAL INTERDEPENDENCE MODEL (RI).
WHAT IS REGIONAL INTERDEPENDENCE?
Regional interdependence is where a seemingly unrelated problems cause symptoms elsewhere in the body and feed on the symptoms caused by each other.
This could present in multiple ways:
1. Pain in one part of the body causing pain in another
2. The cause of your symptoms/pain may be from a part of the body which exhibits no symptoms/pain in itself. This is common when there is a undetected tightness, disease or a scar from a very old injury.
3. When more than one body part changes normal alignment leading to wear and tear in another part.
What to Expect When Evaluated Using Regional Interdependence Model
In addition to traditional evaluation model, we employ systemised investigation based on the regional-interdependence concept.
We connects the dots of your health issue(s) by assessing tension and mobility patterns through a unique inhibitory and facilitatory technique, this is done in addition to the standard subjective and objective physical therapy evaluation, global and local assessment of movement and posture.
What to Expect in My Treatment Using Regional Interdependence Model
Treatment and the results received using the RI model is truly magical! By treating every component involved in your disease/pain you are able to recover quick and identify other health issues you might need to address. This is a true (w)holistic approach with adequate evidence.
Following the evaluation we use hands-on manual therapy techniques, focusing on the affected structures and provide specialized exercises to release, realign, mobilize stretch, glide structures and regions both remotely and locally. Patients response guides our treatment and the relief they experience is tangible and quick.
The prescribed custom exercises are designed to maintain and improve structural strength and mobility in structures and systems.
We believe that the regional interdependence is a model whose time has come and we are here to bring it to you and all those whom you care about.
Current research show that the approach we use is the most effective treatment for most conditions treated by physical therapist.
In most cases, movement-related pains are solved in 1 to 2 visits. In chronic problems, improvement of symptoms is often much faster than you have ever experienced—without the side effects of pain medications.
