Matthew P. Romanoff, PT, DPT

Matthew P. Romanoff received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Touro College in 2012.  Over the past 7 years, Matthew has worked in Home Health Care as well as Orthopedic offices and cultivated a unique hands-on therapeutic style, incorporating elements of Myofascial Release, Rolfing, Muscle Energy techniques, Neuromuscular techniques, Myofascial Massage and Thai Yoga Massage.

Early in his career, when forced to rehabilitate himself from chronic back pain, Matthew realized the importance of the mind-body connection and the significant influence that the emotions, (particularly stress), have on the body’s hormonal balance, pain perception, muscular tension, and overall physical functioning.  With a holistic approach in mind, Matthew often incorporates techniques to help induce relaxation and positive mental states so that therapeutic exercise, manual interventions and modalities can be most effective.

Matthew has studied Functional Manual Therapy with the Institute of Physical Art and is currently attending various John F. Barnes Myofascial Release seminars as well as undergoing a Thai Yoga Massage certification.
